David Malan is the founder of Northstead Point.

David is an organisational development professional who has worked across manufacturing, consumer goods, telecommunications, government and energy. His leadership development practice has been shaped in particular by complex operational settings, and his work centres on leadership behaviour, organisational change and building capability where it is hardest to do well: technical, operational and high-consequence environments.

His experience spans designing leadership programs, facilitating development interventions for global audiences, and using psychometric and diagnostic tools to identify where capability investment will have the greatest impact.

He partners with learning and development teams to build capability among technical professionals and the leaders who guide them. Engineers, specialists and managers who advanced on the strength of their expertise, and who now carry responsibility for people. His approach is practical and grounded, built on a simple belief: that the strongest leaders combine competence with humility.

David is an accredited organisational coach. Through Northstead Point he facilitates leadership programs, provides one-to-one coaching, and delivers assessment debriefs for organisations in complex, technical environments. He is based in Adelaide, South Australia.
